Approach

End to end

From specification to field deployment. Design, build, develop, integrate — one point of contact for the entire system.

Where off-the-shelf stops

Hard-to-reach environments, unusual constraints, needs that existing products don't address. That's precisely where a cross-disciplinary approach makes the difference.

Built for the real world

Every system is designed to work in actual conditions — not a lab. Maintainability, robustness and adaptability are built in from day one.

Airboat layout test

Robotics · Inspection

Random Mechanicals — Tethered Airboat

A remotely operated surface vehicle for inspecting tunnels, culverts and confined waterways — where neither a submarine nor a wheeled robot can go.

Underwater ROV

Robotics · Inspection

Underwater ROV

A remotely operated vehicle for visual inspection of industrial tanks, basins, rivers and quarries — without divers, without draining.

Environment Monitoring System

Monitoring · Environment · Industry

Water & Environmental Monitoring

From design to data transmission — complete monitoring infrastructure for industrial and environmental compliance.

Industrial systems maintenance

Industry · Seveso · ATEX

Industrial Systems & Maintenance

Custom instrumentation and environmental management systems for hazardous industrial environments — designed, installed, and maintained to Seveso and ATEX standards.

Software · Operational tooling

Online Booking System, Quoidbach

A custom appointment scheduling system for tyre fitting operations — live since 2013, continuously maintained and evolved.

About

A Renaissance company.

Random Mechanicals is built on a Renaissance-company model — the conviction that art, science and engineering are not separate disciplines, but different expressions of the same curiosity.

After nearly a decade as an IT consultant — product owner and project lead on complex infrastructures — I chose to work differently: designing and building complete systems, end to end, for needs that fall between disciplines and that nobody else knows how to address.

Software, electronics, mechanics, field work, design: I operate at the intersection because that's precisely where the interesting problems live — and where a single person who refuses to specialise becomes an asset rather than an anomaly.

Based in Belgium. On-site intervention available.
